Due to the heavy rain that recently hit the area, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam took steps to keep visitors safe and comfortable while coming to Tirumala.

The authorities have made sure that pilgrims can access the site without any issues and are working to prevent any disruptions.

As part of these actions, the path to Srivari Mettu has been closed temporarily to protect visitors.

To help manage traffic on the steep roads, officials are watching over areas that might be at risk for landslides.

Several areas in Tirupathi have experienced heavy rainfall recently and authorities have set up control rooms at the district Collectorate and at the mandal and division levels.

Rainwater is flowing down from Tirumala, hill is flowing down into Tirupati. As a result, several areas have been inundated in low-lying areas, including roads.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have swung into action to deal with the consequences.
